Description

This high-protein main course with marinated meat strips and onions is quick to prepare in the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are turkey escalope, chicken breast fillet or pork escalope, onions and Mediterranean spices. The preparation time is 200 minutes, of which 20 minutes are active working time. The recipe is ideal for a hearty family meal or a party and makes 4 servings.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 600 g Turkey escalope, chicken breast fillet or pork escalope
  • 75 g Onions, medium-sized
  • 100 ml Olive oil
  • 3 TL Mild paprika powder - sweet
  • 2 TL Oregano, dried
  • 2 TL Thyme, dried
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 0.5 TL Cumin, ground
  • 1 Prise Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 TL Hot mustard
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 1 EL Lemon juice - freshly squeezed

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare meat and onions

Dab 600 g turkey escalope, chicken breast fillet or pork escalope with a kitchen towel and cut into strips. Peel 1 medium-sized onion (approx. 75g) and cut into strips as well. Set both aside.

Prepare marinade

Put 100 ml olive oil, 3 tsp mild paprika powder, 2 tsp oregano, 2 tsp thyme, 1 tsp salt, 0.5 tsp cumin, 1 pinch of black pepper, 1 tsp hot mustard and 2 cloves of garlic into the mixing bowl.

Chop garlic

Add 2 cloves of garlic to the remaining ingredients in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Finish marinade

Add 1 tbsp lemon juice and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Marinate meat and onions

Put the meat strips and onion strips in a bowl and pour the marinade from the mixing bowl over them. Mix everything well so that the meat and onions are completely covered with the marinade. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.

Fry meat

Remove the meat from the refrigerator 15-20 minutes before preparation and stir again. Heat a pan without oil and fry the meat in portions. Keep the fried portions warm in the oven at approx. 60 °C circulating air.
