This onion cheddar dip from the Thermomix® is quick to prepare with cheddar, onions, and crème fraîche. The recipe is vegetarian and ideal as a hearty snack or finger food for parties. In just 20 minutes, a delicious appetizer for several servings is created. Perfect for cooking in advance and for those who like it uncomplicated and flavorful.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

150 g Cheddar, in pieces
3 Stück Onions, in rings
3 EL Oil
200 g Crème fraîche
1 TL Sweet paprika powder
1 TL Dried thyme
1 TL Salt
0.5 TL Pepper
2 EL Fried onions for garnish

Preparation (4 steps)

Chop the cheddar

Thermomix® Setting

5 sec/Speed 7

Place 150 g cheddar in pieces into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 7. Transfer.

Sauté the onions

5 min/248°F/Speed 1 248°F

Place 3 onions in rings and 3 tbsp oil into the mixing bowl and sauté without the measuring cup for 5 min./120°C/speed 1. Stir with the spatula and sauté again for 5 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare the dip

30 sec/Speed 3

Add the chopped cheddar, 200 g crème fraîche, 1 tsp sweet paprika powder, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper to the onions in the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec./speed 3.
