Description

Danube wave cake on a baking sheet is a classic cake that is easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are eggs, sugar, oil, flour and sour cherries. This Thermomix® recipe is ideal for festive occasions or with coffee. The preparation time is about 120 minutes for one baking sheet. Suitable for anyone who loves a moist classic cake.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 5 Stück Eggs
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 130 ml Neutral oil
  • 250 g Wheat flour
  • 1 Pck. Baking powder
  • 2 EL Baking cocoa
  • 2 EL Milk
  • 2 Gläßer Sour cherries
  • 1 Liter Milk
  • 2 Pck. Pudding powder
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 200 g Butter (soft)
  • 300 g Dark chocolate couverture, melted
  • 1 EL Oil

Preparation (15 steps)

Prepare batter (without cocoa and milk)

Place 5 eggs, 200g sugar and 130 ml neutral oil in the mixing bowl and mix for 3 min/speed 4.

Mix dry ingredients

Add 250g wheat flour and 1 packet of baking powder and mix in for 20 sec/speed 3.

Divide the batter

Divide the batter into two halves. Place one half in a separate bowl.

Prepare cocoa batter

Add 2 tbsp baking cocoa and 2 tbsp milk to one half of the batter and mix for 20 sec/speed 3.

Spread light and dark batter on baking sheet

Line a baking sheet with baking paper and add a frame. Spread the light batter on the baking sheet, then add the dark batter on top and smooth it out.

Prepare cherries

Drain 2 jars of sour cherries.

Place cherries on top

Spread the drained cherries on the batter.

Bake cake

Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Prepare pudding

Place 1 liter of milk, 2 packets of pudding powder and 75g sugar in the mixing bowl and bring to a boil according to the package instructions for 8 min/100°C/speed 2. Leave the measuring cup on.

Let pudding cool

Pour the pudding into a bowl and cover with cling film to prevent a skin from forming. Allow to cool completely.

Beat butter

Place 200g butter in the mixing bowl and beat with the butterfly whisk for 3 min/speed 3.5 until creamy.

Mix pudding and butter

Thermomix® Setting

Add the cooled pudding to the butter spoonful by spoonful and mix for 30 sec/speed 3.

Spread pudding layer on cake

Spread the pudding layer on the cooled cake in the baking sheet and smooth it out.

Melt chocolate

3 min/122°F/Speed 2 122°F

Place 300 g of dark chocolate in pieces in the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min/50°C/speed 2. Then add 1 tbsp oil and mix until smooth for 10 sec/speed 3.

Spread glaze

Spread the glaze evenly over the buttercream and let it cool.
