Description

This curry strips recipe for the Thermomix® is a hearty main course with onions, carrots, celery, curry paste and coconut milk. Preparation takes a total of 35 minutes and yields 4 servings. Ideal for lovers of Asian cuisine and a quick, warm family meal. Thanks to the Thermomix® WunderSlicer V2, preparation is particularly easy.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 2 EL Oil
  • 150 g Celery
  • 2 Stück Carrots
  • 2 EL Curry paste
  • 400 ml Coconut milk
  • 2 EL Soy sauce
  • 2 dl Bouillon
  • 500 g Chicken strips
  • 2 dl Half cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onions

Peel and quarter the onions. Place in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5.

Sauté onions

Add oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Prepare celery and carrots

Peel the celery and carrots. Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid and insert the fine slicer. Cut the celery and carrots into fine sticks with the WunderSlicer V2. Set the cut material aside.

Add curry paste and vegetables

Add curry paste, celery and carrots to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add liquid

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1 212°F

Add coconut milk, soy sauce and bouillon to the mixing bowl and cook for 10 min./100°C/level 1. Leave the measuring cup on.

Fry meat

Fry the meat in a separate pan with oil.

Add meat and cream

5 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 194°F Reverse

Add the fried meat and cream to the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./90°C/reverse level 1. Leave the measuring cup on.

Season and serve

Season the curry strips with salt and pepper and serve.
