Description

This pastry dough is a real all-rounder! I have been using it for years for savory tarts and quiches. It is super easy to prepare and always succeeds. The secret lies in the lard, which gives the dough a particularly tender and crumbly consistency. Perfect for a quick lunch or a cozy dinner with friends. The dough can also be prepared well and stored in the refrigerator. This way you always have a base for delicious dishes ready. An absolute must for every hobby cook!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 100 g of water at room temperature
  • 4 g of salt
  • 0.5 piece beaten egg
  • 50 g of melted and lukewarm lard
  • 200 g of flour

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare flour

Put 200 g Flour in the mixing bowl and form a well.

Add ingredients and mix

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add 100 g Water at room temperature, 4 g Salt, 1/2 beaten Egg and 50 g melted and lukewarm Lard to the well. Mix for 20 sec./speed 4.

Knead dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Knead the dough for 2 min./kneading setting.

Chill dough

Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
