Description

These homemade ground chicken steaks are a tasty and lighter alternative to traditional hamburgers. I often prepare them for a quick lunch or a casual dinner. The recipe is simple and quick thanks to the Thermomix®, which chops the chicken and mixes the ingredients in a flash. I like to add a pinch of Espelette pepper to enhance the taste, but you can adjust the seasoning according to your preferences. Serve them in a burger bun with your favorite toppings or simply with a green salad for a balanced meal. A real treat for the whole family!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast(s)
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 piece Egg(s)
  • Espelette pepper
  • Paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop the garlic

Peel a clove of garlic and put it in the Thermomix bowl. Chop the garlic for 5 seconds at speed 5.

Mix the chicken and spices

Add 500 g of chicken breast coarsely cut into pieces, a pinch of paprika, a pinch of Espelette pepper, ½ teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of pepper in the Thermomix bowl. Mix everything for 15 seconds at speed 5. Scrape the sides of the bowl with the spatula.

Incorporate the egg

Add an egg to the Thermomix bowl and mix again for 30 seconds at speed 5.

Prepare the steaks

Transfer the preparation to a salad bowl. Pour 50 g of breadcrumbs into a large shallow plate.

Form and bread the steaks

Shape steaks of about 100 g each and give them the shape of ground steak. Pass them in the breadcrumbs to finish shaping them. Set them aside on a board.

Cook the steaks in the pan

Cook the steaks in a frying pan with olive oil (or another oil for frying). They must be golden brown.

Serve

Serve hot, accompanied by a salad or in a burger bun with cheese, tomato and onion.
