Description

This mixed fried food is an explosion of marine flavors, perfect for a summer dinner or an informal lunch. Prepared with squid, red mullet, prawns and whitebait, this dish is made crispy by the semolina and corn flour, and cooked to perfection in the air fryer. I often prepare it when I want something delicious and quick to make. The scent that is released during cooking is simply irresistible! Served on a bed of fresh rocket and seasoned with lemon juice, it is a true triumph of taste. Ideal for those who love the flavors of the sea and are looking for a lighter alternative to the classic fried food.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 300 g squid
  • 200 g red mullet fillets cleaned
  • 200 g prawns
  • 150 g whitebait
  • 80 g semolina flour
  • 40 g corn flour
  • spray olive oil
  • fine salt
  • rocket
  • lemons

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparation of the squid

After skinning them, cut the squid body into rings and divide the tufts with the tentacles in half. Set aside.

Preparation of the red mullet

Cut the well-cleaned red mullet fillets in half and set aside.

Preparation of the prawns

Remove the head, shell and intestine of the prawns and set aside.

Preparation of the breading

Collect the squid, prawns, red mullet fillets and whitebait in a large bowl. Add 80 g of semolina flour, 40 g of corn flour and fine salt to taste.

Mix and bread the fish

Mix everything with your hands until the fish is well covered evenly.

Preparation for cooking

Arrange the pieces of fish on the grill in the air fryer basket, trying not to overlap them too much, then spray them with a little spray oil.

Cooking the fish

Insert the basket and cook at 180°C for about 14 minutes. Halfway through cooking, move the basket and add another spray of oil.

Serve

Once golden brown and crispy, serve our fried fish in an air fryer on a bed of rocket and complete with a few drops of lemon juice.
