Description

This chocolate yogurt cake is a juicy and chocolatey treat that is perfect with coffee or as a dessert. The combination of yogurt and chocolate makes it particularly light and aromatic. With a preparation time of about an hour, it is ideal for spontaneous baking or festive occasions. The cake is designed for about 12 servings and can be prepared well in advance.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 200 g Sugar
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 100 ml Oil
  • 150 g Yogurt
  • 200 g Flour
  • 30 g Cocoa
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 100 g Chocolate chips
  • 50 g Bittersweet chocolate
  • 25 g Butter

Preparation (10 steps)

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 175 °C top/bottom heat. Line a springform pan (20 cm diameter) with baking paper.

Beat sugar and eggs until fluffy

Add 200g sugar and 2 eggs to the mixing bowl and beat for 3 min/speed 4 until fluffy.

Add oil and yogurt

Add 100ml oil and 150g yogurt to the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec/speed 3.

Mix and add dry ingredients

Mix 200g flour, 30g cocoa, 1 tsp baking powder and 1 pinch of salt in a separate bowl. Then add to the mixing bowl and stir for 30 sec/speed 3. Use a spatula to loosen and fold everything from the edge.

Fold in chocolate chips

Add 100g chocolate chips to the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec/reverse/speed 2.

Bake dough

Pour the dough into the prepared springform pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes. Do a stick test.

Let cake cool

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.

Prepare glaze

For the glaze, place 50g of bittersweet chocolate in pieces in the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec/speed 8.

Melt glaze

Add 25g butter and melt for 3 min/50°C/speed 2.

Glaze cake

Spread the glaze on the cooled cake and let it set.
