Description

This redcurrant cake is a delicious classic cake that is prepared with fresh redcurrants. The dough is prepared with margarine, sugar, eggs, flour and baking powder and refined with cocoa. The cake is easy to prepare and is ideal for birthdays or other festive occasions. The preparation time is approx. 40 minutes.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 200 g Margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 P. Vanilla sugar
  • 3 Stk. Eggs
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 P. Baking powder
  • 300 ml Milk
  • 3 EL Cocoa
  • 250 g Redcurrant

Preparation (6 steps)

Mix margarine and sugar until creamy

Add 200g margarine and 200g sugar to the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./speed 3 until creamy.

Add eggs

Add 3 eggs to the mixing bowl one after the other and mix for 1 min./speed 3.

Mix flour and baking powder

Mix 500g flour and 1 packet of baking powder in a separate bowl.

Add flour mixture and milk

Add the flour mixture and 300ml milk alternately to the mixing bowl and mix for 1 min./speed 3.

Divide dough and add cocoa

Put 2/3 of the dough on a baking sheet. Stir 3 tbsp cocoa into the remaining dough.

Spread dough and bake

Spread the dark dough in large dabs on the light dough. Spread 250g of redcurrants on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for 20 minutes.
