Description

Diese gepressten kubanischen Sandwiches sind ein absoluter Genuss! Ich mache sie gerne, wenn ich etwas Herzhaftes und Schnelles brauche. Die Kombination aus Mayonnaise, Senf und einem Hauch Cayennepfeffer macht die Sauce so besonders. Das Brot wird knusprig getoastet, während der Käse schmilzt und das Fleisch erwärmt wird. Perfekt für ein schnelles Mittagessen oder einen entspannten Brunch. Man kann sie auch gut vorbereiten und mitnehmen. Wer es etwas schärfer mag, kann noch mehr Cayennepfeffer hinzufügen. Ein wirklich leckeres und unkompliziertes Gericht!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup mustard
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 piece Cuban bread (8 ounce loaf)
  • 8 slice Swiss cheese
  • 6 slice smoked fully-cooked ham
  • 1.5 cup cooked pulled pork, heated
  • 1 piece large dill pickle, sliced thinly lengthwise
  • 2 tbsp butter, or as needed

Prepare the sauce

Thermomix® Setting

Add the mayonnaise, mustard, and cayenne pepper to the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3 until well combined. Transfer the sauce to a separate bowl and set aside.

Prepare the bread

Trim off the ends of the bread. Cut the loaf in half and evenly split each half to make the tops and bottoms of two sandwiches. Set aside.

Assemble the sandwiches

Spread each half of the bread generously on both sides with the mayonnaise-mustard sauce. Divide the sandwich ingredients between the two bottom halves in this order: 2 slices of Swiss cheese, 3 slices of ham, the heated pulled pork, pickle slices, and 2 more slices of Swiss cheese. Place the tops on the sandwiches.

Toast the sandwiches

Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over medium heat on the stovetop. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and press down with a heavy weight, such as another skillet or foil-wrapped bricks. Toast the sandwiches until the bread is crisp and the filling is heated through, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.

Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and slice in half. Serve hot and enjoy!
