Description

This recipe for sliced meat dish with celery mash is a hearty main course, ideal for the autumn season. It combines tender turkey with spicy sauerkraut and a creamy celery mash. The preparation time is about 40 minutes and the dish is designed for 2 servings. Perfect for a hearty lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 400 g predominantly firm-boiling potatoes
  • 400 g celery root
  • Salt
  • 350 g turkey breast fillet
  • Pepper from the mill
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 300 g fresh sauerkraut
  • 2 EL Olive oil
  • 1.5 EL Tomato paste
  • 1 TL sweet paprika powder
  • 0.5 TL hot paprika powder
  • 200 ml Vegetable broth
  • 0.5 Bund Parsley

Preparation (6 steps)

1

Prepare potatoes and celery

Peel, wash and coarsely chop the potatoes. Clean, peel and cut the celery into approximately 1 cm cubes. Cover the potatoes and celery in a saucepan with salted water, bring to a boil covered and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes until soft.

2

Prepare meat

Wash the 350g turkey breast fillet, pat dry and cut into fine strips. Season with salt and pepper. Peel, halve and cut 1 onion into fine strips. Drain the 300g sauerkraut in a sieve over a bowl.

3

Fry meat

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan and fry the 350g turkey breast fillet in it over high heat for 3 to 4 minutes until light brown, stirring constantly. Add the 1 onion and sauté briefly.

4

Add sauerkraut and simmer

Stir in 1 1/2 tablespoons of tomato paste and sauté briefly. Add the 300g sauerkraut to the meat, sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika powder and 1/2 teaspoon of hot paprika powder and season with salt and pepper. Pour in 200 ml of vegetable broth, bring to a boil and then simmer the turkey pan covered over low heat for about 15 minutes.

5

Prepare parsley

Meanwhile, wash and shake dry the 1/2 bunch of parsley, pluck the leaves and chop finely.

6

Prepare celery mash

Drain the potato-celery mix and roughly mash with the potato masher. Season the sliced meat dish again, arrange with the mash and sprinkle with the parsley.
