Description

This Gnocchi Casserole with spinach and tomatoes, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a quick and hearty main course from Italian cuisine. With just a few ingredients like onions, leaf spinach, and fresh gnocchi from the refrigerated section, you can create a vegetarian family meal.   • 1 Stück Onion
  • 1 Zehe Garlic
  • 200 g Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 EL Olive oil
  • 500 g Leaf spinach - frozen
  • 250 g Cream
  • 150 g Cream cheese with herbs
  • 500 g Gnocchi - refrigerated section
  • 150 g grated Cheese
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Put 1 onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Then add 1 clove of garlic and chop for another 3 sec./level 7. If necessary, scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add spinach and cream and simmer

Thermomix® Setting

Add 500 g leaf spinach (frozen) and 250 g cream to the mixing bowl and simmer for 5 min./90°C/level 1 reverse rotation.

Stir in cream cheese and season

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 2 Linkslauf Reverse

Add 150 g cream cheese with herbs and stir in for 20 sec./level 2 reverse rotation. Season with salt and pepper.

Prepare casserole

Preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat. Put 200 g halved cherry tomatoes, 500 g uncooked gnocchi (refrigerated section) and the spinach-cream cheese sauce in a casserole dish and mix well.

Sprinkle casserole with cheese and bake

Sprinkle the gnocchi spinach casserole with 150 g grated cheese (e.g. Mozzarella) and bake in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
