Description

This Chocolate Gugelhupf is a delicious cake that is perfect for festive occasions like Christmas. With a preparation time of about 65 minutes and a medium difficulty, it is a treat for all chocolate lovers. The cake contains eggs, milk, and wheat and is therefore not suitable for people with corresponding allergies.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 7 Stück Egg whites
  • 50 g Superfine sugar
  • 100 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 100 g Chocolate
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1 P Baking powder

Preparation (5 steps)

Whisk egg whites until stiff

Place 7 egg whites and 50 g superfine sugar in the mixing bowl and whisk with the butterfly attachment for 3 min/speed 3.5 until stiff. Transfer the egg whites and set aside.

Mix butter, sugar and chocolate until creamy

Place 100 g butter, 100 g sugar and 100 g chocolate in the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min/50°C/speed 3 until creamy.

Mix and stir in flour and baking powder

Place 150 g flour and 1 packet of baking powder in the mixing bowl and stir in for 20 sec/speed 4.

Fold in egg whites

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add part of the stiff egg whites (snow) to the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec/speed 3. Carefully fold in the remaining egg whites with a spatula.

Baking

Pour the batter into a Gugelhupf pan and bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees top/bottom heat for about 35 minutes. Do a toothpick test.
