Description

This pea cream is a delicious and comforting starter, perfect for any day of the week. The recipe is very simple and is prepared in a short time with the Thermomix®. Peas, also known as green peas, are the star of this dish, providing a sweet taste and a smooth texture. I usually use fresh peas in spring, but frozen ones are also very good. To give it a special touch, I add a little white cheese at the end, which gives it creaminess and a slightly acidic flavour. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 l vegetable broth
  • 1 piece small onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 2 tbsp white cheese
  • 1 cup cooked green peas or peas
  • wholemeal bread cubes
  • chopped parsley

Crush the ingredients

Add the vegetable broth, the small onion cut into quarters, the garlic clove and the sea salt to the Thermomix bowl. Crush for 30 seconds at speed 10 until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Cook the soup

10 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Add the cooked peas (or pea flour dissolved in cold water) to the bowl. Cook for 10 minutes at 90°C at speed 2. If pea flour is used, cook for 40 minutes at 90°C at speed 2, making sure it does not stick.

Add the cheese and serve

Add the white cheese to the bowl and mix for 10 seconds at speed 3. Serve the hot pea cream, accompanied by toasted wholemeal bread cubes and chopped parsley.
