Description

These savory ground meat feta cheese rolls are a quick and delicious snack for any occasion. I like to make them when unexpected visitors arrive or for a casual party. The ground meat is combined with fresh herbs and spicy feta cheese, which creates a great flavor combination. The preparation is super easy and quick. If you like, you can sprinkle some grated cheese on top. They taste best warm, but are also a pleasure cold. Ideal for those who like it hearty!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Ground meat
  • 400 g Feta cheese
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 piece Onion, finely chopped
  • Parsley, finely chopped
  • Tarragon, finely chopped
  • Basil, finely chopped
  • 3 clove Garlic, finely chopped
  • 18 piece Half rolls
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cheese, grated

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Put the onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add the garlic and chop for another 3 sec./speed 7. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Sauté onion and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Add the olive oil to the mixing bowl and sauté the onion-garlic mixture for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare ground meat

Mix the ground meat well with the chopped herbs (parsley, tarragon, basil), salt and pepper in a bowl.

Brown ground meat

Brown the prepared ground meat in a pan until crumbly.

Add feta cheese

Cut the feta cheese into cubes and add to the fried ground meat in the pan. Let it simmer on low heat until the cheese has melted.

Top and bake rolls

Spread the ground meat mixture about a finger thick on the roll halves. Sprinkle with grated cheese as desired. Bake the topped rolls in a preheated oven at 180°C for 6-8 minutes.
