Description

This savory cake with zucchini and ham is an excellent solution for a quick lunch or a tasty appetizer. The combination of fresh zucchini, flavorful ham and stringy cheese makes it irresistible. I often prepare it when I have unexpected guests, because it is simple and quick to make with the Thermomix®. Its soft texture and balanced taste make it suitable for all palates. Perfect to enjoy warm or cold, it is also ideal for an outdoor picnic. Try it, you won't regret it!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 200 g zucchini
  • 3 piece eggs
  • 2 cucchiaini fine salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 40 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 150 g milk
  • 120 g sunflower seed oil
  • 50 g potato starch
  • 250 g 00 flour
  • 15 g instant yeast for savory cakes
  • 100 g diced cooked ham
  • 100 g diced Emmental

Preparation (6 steps)

Grate the zucchini

Thermomix® Setting

Insert the zucchini into the bowl and grate for 5 Sec./Speed 5.

Prepare the mixture

In a large bowl, break the eggs and add the fine salt, sugar and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well with a hand whisk.

Add the liquid ingredients

Add the sunflower seed oil and potato starch to the egg mixture. Mix with a hand whisk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Incorporate the flours and yeast

Add the 00 flour and instant yeast for savory cakes to the mixture. Gently mix with a spatula so as not to deflate the mixture.

Add zucchini, ham and cheese

Add the grated zucchini, diced cooked ham and diced Emmental to the mixture. Gently mix with a spatula to evenly distribute the ingredients.

Pour into the mold and bake

Pour the mixture into a previously buttered and floured cake tin. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
