Description

This hearty potato spinach casserole with fish is a quick and easy dish for the whole family. With the Thermomix® the potatoes can be turned into a creamy puree in no time. The casserole is prepared in under an hour and is perfect for cold winter days. A hearty meal that is both satisfying and tasty.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1000 g Potatoes
  • 400 g Creamed spinach - frozen
  • 200 g Cream for cooking
  • 10 Stück Fish fingers - frozen
  • 100 g Grated cheese - e.g. Gouda
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Peel and prepare potatoes

Peel 1 kg potatoes and cut into approx. 2-3 cm pieces.

Cook potatoes

Put the potato pieces into the mixing bowl and cover with 500 ml water. Cook for 20 min./100°C/level 1 with steamer basket.

Mash potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 4

After cooking, drain the water and return the potatoes to the mixing bowl. Process into a coarse puree for 10 sec./level 4. If necessary, use the spatula to help.

Put mashed potatoes in casserole dish

Pour the mashed potatoes into a casserole dish and spread evenly.

Layer casserole

Spread 400 g of frozen creamed spinach evenly over the mashed potatoes. Pour 200 g of cream for cooking over it. Season with salt and pepper.

Distribute cheese and fish fingers

Sprinkle 100 g of grated cheese (e.g. Gouda) over the casserole. Cut 10 frozen fish fingers into bite-sized pieces and spread on the casserole.

Bake casserole

Bake the fish finger casserole in a preheated oven at 220 degrees top and bottom heat for 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
