Description

This toast, ham, and cheese casserole is a quick and easy dish, ideal for parties or as a hearty snack. Prepared with just a few ingredients, it is ready in just 40 minutes. The Thermomix® helps in preparing the creamy sauce that makes the casserole particularly juicy. Suitable for 4 servings.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 8 Scheiben Sandwich bread
  • Butter
  • 8 Scheiben Cooked ham
  • 8 Scheiben Emmental cheese
  • 4 Stück Eggs
  • 250 g Cream
  • 1 TL Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 EL Chopped chives

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare the toast

Toast 8 slices of sandwich bread in the toaster and then spread with butter. Top with 8 slices of cooked ham and 8 slices of Emmental cheese.

Prepare the casserole dish

Arrange the topped toast slices in a fan shape in a casserole dish.

Prepare the cream sauce

Add 4 eggs, 250 g cream, 1 tsp salt, pepper, and sweet paprika powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 4.

Add chives

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 tbsp of chopped chives to the cream sauce in the mixing bowl and stir in for 5 sec/speed 2.

Finish the casserole

Pour the cream sauce evenly over the toast slices in the casserole dish.

Bake the casserole

Bake the sandwich casserole in a preheated oven at 200 degrees top and bottom heat for 20 minutes until golden brown.
