Description

This homemade chicken tinga is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a quick and delicious meal. The combination of shredded chicken with the tomato and chipotle sauce gives it a smoky and slightly spicy touch that everyone loves. I prepare it often because it is very versatile: it looks great on toast, tacos or even as a filling for empanadas. In addition, the level of spiciness can be adjusted by adding more or less chipotle peppers. Go ahead and try this traditional recipe that will transport you to grandma's kitchen! The pinch of cinnamon gives it a special and unexpected touch.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 piece shredded chicken breast
  • 1 piece large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 piece tomatoes
  • 1 trozo onion
  • 1 pinch chipotle pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder
  • Oil

Preparation (5 steps)

Cut the onion

Cut the large onion into thin slices. Set aside.

Prepare the sauce

Add the tomatoes, the piece of onion, the garlic clove and the chipotle peppers to taste in the Thermomix glass. Crush for 30 seconds at speed 10.

Sauté the onion

5 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add a little oil to the Thermomix glass. Incorporate the sliced onion and sauté for 5 minutes at 120°C at speed 1. Add salt to taste.

Add the sauce

10 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Pour the tomato and chipotle sauce into the Thermomix glass. Cook for 10 minutes at 100°C at speed 2. Adjust the salt to taste.

Incorporate the chicken

8 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 90 Reverse

Add the shredded chicken and the pinch of cinnamon powder to the Thermomix glass. Mix well with the spatula. Cook for 8 minutes at 90°C at speed 1 with left turn.
