Description

These honey cookies, prepared in the Thermomix®, are a Christmas pastry with honey, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. The recipe from the category cookies yields about 140 pieces. The preparation time is approximately 60 minutes. Ideal as finger food or dessert for festive occasions and the whole family.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 200 g Honey
  • 150 g brown Sugar
  • 50 g Butter
  • 1 TL Cinnamon powder
  • 0.5 TL Clove powder
  • 1 Messerspitze Baking soda
  • 400 g Whole wheat flour
  • Flour for processing
  • 4 Stück Eggs
  • Flour for the work surface
  • some candied fruits
  • Almonds
  • Raisins
  • some pearl sugar for decoration

Preparation (8 steps)

Melt honey, sugar and butter

Put 200 g honey, 150 g brown sugar and 50 g butter into the mixing bowl and melt for 5 min./50°C/speed 2.

Add spices

Add 1 tsp cinnamon powder and 1/2 tsp clove powder and 1 pinch of baking soda and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Let cool down

Pour the mixture into a bowl and let it cool down a little.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 400 g whole wheat flour and flour for processing, 4 eggs to the cooled honey mixture. Insert the Meistermix Patix dough knife and knead for 2 min./kneading level to a smooth dough.

Let the dough rest

Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let rest for 1 day at room temperature.

Shape cookies

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut out cookies. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Bake cookies

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 10 minutes.

Decorate cookies

After cooling, brush with milk and decorate with candied fruits, almonds, raisins and pearl sugar.
