Description

These hussar doughnuts are a festive pastry from the Thermomix® with butter, sugar, pistachios and redcurrant jelly. Preparing the biscuits takes a total of 120 minutes, with an active working time of around 45 minutes. The recipe yields approximately 42 pieces. Ideal as finger food or dessert, especially suitable for the Christmas season.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 150 g Butter
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g Finely ground pistachios
  • Redcurrant jelly

Preparation (8 steps)

Stir butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy

Put butter, sugar and vanilla sugar in the mixing bowl and stir until fluffy.

Add egg and continue stirring

Add flour and pistachios and knead

Add flour and ground pistachios and knead to a dough.

Chill dough

Place dough in a bowl, cover and let rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

Preheat oven

Preheat oven to 175 °C top/bottom heat.

Shape dough and fill with jelly

Divide dough into walnut-sized balls, roll, press a depression in the middle and place on the baking sheet lined with baking paper. Put jelly in the hollow (this is easier if you warm the jelly beforehand).

Bake hussar doughnuts

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 – 12 minutes until light.

Let cool

Let cool and store in an airtight container.
