Description

This aromatic herb-fish spice mix is ideal for giving fish dishes a special touch. The mixture of various herbs and spices is easy to prepare in the Thermomix® and can be used in many ways. The preparation time is only 10 minutes. The spice mix is gluten-free and lactose-free and is ideal as a gift idea for hobby cooks.

Ingredients (23 ingredients)

  • 1 TL Peppercorns
  • 1 TL Juniper berries
  • 1 TL Coriander seeds
  • 1 TL Caraway seeds
  • 1 TL Mustard seeds
  • 1 TL Fennel seeds
  • 1 EL Thyme
  • 1 EL Rosemary
  • 1 EL Marjoram
  • 1 EL Oregano
  • 1 EL Savory
  • 1 EL Tarragon
  • 1 EL Sage
  • 1 EL Chervil
  • 1 EL Lovage
  • 1 EL Dill tips
  • 1 EL Parsley
  • 1 EL Chives
  • 1 EL Garlic powder
  • 1 EL Onion powder
  • 1 EL Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 EL Lemon pepper
  • 1 EL Sea salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare ingredients

Have all ingredients ready and weighed. The herbs and spices should be dry for optimal results.

Grind spices

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 10

Place 1 tsp peppercorns, 1 tsp juniper berries, 1 tsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp caraway seeds, 1 tsp mustard seeds and 1 tsp fennel seeds in the mixing bowl and grind for 20 sec/speed 10.

Add herbs and remaining spices

Add 1 tbsp thyme, 1 tbsp rosemary, 1 tbsp marjoram, 1 tbsp oregano, 1 tbsp savory, 1 tbsp tarragon, 1 tbsp sage, 1 tbsp chervil, 1 tbsp lovage, 1 tbsp dill tips, 1 tbsp parsley, 1 tbsp chives, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp onion powder, 1 tbsp sweet paprika powder, 1 tbsp lemon pepper and 1 tbsp sea salt to the ground spices in the mixing bowl.

Mix

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4 Reverse

Mix all ingredients for 20 sec/speed 4 in reverse. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides and repeat if necessary.

Fine grinding (optional)

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 8

For a finer mixture, grind the spice mixture for another 10 sec/speed 8. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides and repeat if necessary.

Fill and store

Fill the finished spice mixture into a clean, dry jar or can and seal. Store in a cool, dry and dark place to preserve the aroma.
