Description

This herb-crusted baked chicken is a simple and satisfying meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner. Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 0.66666666666667 cup baking mix
  • 1.5 tsp paprika
  • 1.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp pepper
  • 1 piece cut-up whole chicken

Preparation (4 steps)

Preheat oven and melt butter

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Place 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine in a rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches, and place in the preheating oven until melted. This should take approximately 5 minutes.

Combine dry ingredients

Add ⅔ cup baking mix, 1 ½ teaspoons paprika, 1 ¼ teaspoons salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 5 Sec./Stufe 4 to combine.

Coat chicken

Remove the dry mixture from the Thermomix bowl and place it in a shallow dish. Coat 1 (3 to 3 1/2 pound) cut-up whole chicken thoroughly with the mixture, ensuring all pieces are well covered.

Bake chicken

Remove the baking dish with the melted butter from the oven. Place the coated chicken pieces skin sides down in the hot dish. Bake for 35 minutes. Then, turn the chicken pieces and bake for about 15 minutes longer, or until the juices run clear when the centers of the thickest pieces are cut.
