Description

This honey and spice caramelized chicken is an easy to prepare delight, perfect for a tasty lunch or dinner. The honey, lemon, cumin and ginger marinade gives the meat a sweet and slightly tangy flavor, enhanced by the spices. I have been preparing this dish for years and it is always a hit with my guests. Let the chicken marinate for at least two hours to allow it to soak up the flavors well. Serve with a fresh green salad for a balanced and flavorful meal. A real treat!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken cutlets
  • Liquid honey
  • 2 piece Lemons
  • Cumin powder
  • Ginger powder
  • Oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Preparation of lemon juice

Wash 2 lemons carefully. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice into a container. Reserve the lemon juice.

Cutting the chicken

Cut 4 chicken cutlets into small pieces on a cutting board. Reserve the chicken pieces.

Preparation of the marinade

Thermomix® Setting

In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of liquid honey, the juice of the 2 squeezed lemons, cumin powder and ginger powder according to your taste. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 3 to combine the ingredients well.

Chicken marinating

Place the chicken pieces in the bowl containing the marinade. Mix well so that the chicken is completely covered. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, ideally longer.

Cooking the chicken in the pan

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and brown them on all sides until they are cooked through and slightly caramelized, about 10 minutes.

Cooling and serving

Once cooked, remove the chicken pieces from the pan and let them cool slightly. Serve with a fresh green salad.
