Description

This creamy eggnog is a holiday classic, perfect for sharing with friends and family during the festive season. I've been making this recipe for years, and it's always a hit! The combination of rich cream, milk, and a hint of rum and whisky creates a truly decadent and comforting drink. It's surprisingly easy to make with the Thermomix®, and the chilling time allows the flavors to meld together beautifully. This eggnog is best served cold and is a delightful addition to any Christmas or New Year's Eve celebration. Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar and alcohol to your liking. Enjoy!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 10 piece eggs, divided
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 quart heavy whipping cream
  • 0.25 cup rum
  • 0.25 cup whisky

Combine Sugar and Egg Yolks

Add 1 cup white sugar and 10 egg yolks to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 3 Min./Stufe 4 until the mixture is very light in color.

Mix in Milk and Cream

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Speed 3

Add 1 quart milk and 1 quart heavy whipping cream to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 1 Min./Stufe 3 to combine.

Whip Egg Whites

In a separate bowl, beat 10 egg whites using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, adding more sugar, if desired. This step cannot be done in the Thermomix.

Fold Egg Whites into Milk Mixture

Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the milk mixture until the eggnog is smooth. This step cannot be done in the Thermomix.

Stir in Rum and Whisky

Add ¼ cup rum and ¼ cup whisky to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 30 Sek./Stufe 2 to combine.

Chill

Pour the eggnog into a container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.
