Description

This dish of prawns with candied peppers is a true explosion of Mediterranean flavors. The prawns, delicately pan-fried, harmonize perfectly with the sweetness of the candied peppers and the subtle acidity of the raspberry vinegar. I often prepare this dish for special occasions because it is both elegant and easy to make. The preparation of the peppers requires a little patience, but the result is really worth it. Serve as a starter or light main course, accompanied by a glass of fresh white wine. A guaranteed summer delight!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 16 piece Prawn(s)
  • 4 piece Red pepper(s)
  • 3 piece Green pepper(s)
  • 3 tbsp Raspberry vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Preparation of the prawns

Gently remove the shells from the 16 raw prawns. Reserve.

Cooking the prawns

In a pan, heat some olive oil. Add the prawns and sauté for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring regularly. Reserve.

Preparation of the peppers

Clean the 4 red peppers and the 3 green peppers. Cut the peppers into small dice of about 5 to 6 mm.

Put the diced peppers in the Thermomix bowl. Add olive oil. Program 20 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1.

Deglaze the peppers

Add 3 tbsp of raspberry vinegar, salt and pepper. Program 3 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Reheat the prawns

Thermomix® Setting

Before serving, reheat the prawns in the Thermomix bowl. Program 2 Min./60°C/Stufe 1.

Plating

Arrange 4 prawns in each plate with 2 to 3 tbsp of candied peppers.
