Description

This roasted apple liqueur is a delicious drink for the winter season. With apples, cinnamon, star anise and a shot of vodka and rum, it is an ideal drink for Christmas. Preparation takes about 90 minutes, including steeping time. The recipe is simple and guaranteed to succeed with the Thermomix®. Perfect as a gift idea or to enjoy yourself.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Apples
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 3 Stück Cinnamon sticks
  • 3 Stück Star anise
  • 5 Stück Cloves
  • 1 Stück Lemon zest (untreated)
  • 1 Stück Orange zest (untreated)
  • 250 ml Vodka
  • 250 ml Brown Rum

Preparation (10 steps)

Prepare apples

Wash, quarter, core and cut the apples into coarse pieces. Place the apple pieces in the mixing bowl.

Chop apples

Chop the prepared apple pieces in the mixing bowl for 5 sec./level 5.

Add more ingredients

Add sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, lemon zest and orange zest to the chopped apples in the mixing bowl.

Mix and heat everything

Mix and heat the ingredients in the mixing bowl for 10 min./100°C/level 2. Leave the measuring cup in place.

Let cool

Let the mixture cool in the mixing bowl.

Add alcohol

After cooling, add the vodka and brown rum to the mixing bowl.

Mix everything

Mix the ingredients in the mixing bowl for 20 sec./level 3.

Let the liqueur steep

Pour the liqueur into a bottle and let it steep for at least 4 weeks. Shake occasionally.

Filter liqueur

After steeping, filter the liqueur through a fine sieve or muslin cloth to remove the solids.

Bottling

Pour the filtered liqueur into clean bottles and enjoy or give away as a gift.
