Description

This recipe for braised pork is perfect when you need something quick and still want something hearty. I like to make it when I spontaneously want to prepare burgers. The meat becomes super tender and juicy, almost like from the grill, but from the oven. The preparation is very simple and can be easily done by beginner cooks in the Thermomix®. Ideal for students or anyone who has little time but does not want to forego good taste. Goes great with burger buns and coleslaw!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 600 g Pork neck
  • 1 EL Sugar, brown
  • 3 EL Grill seasoning
  • 200 ml Apple juice
  • 200 ml BBQ sauce

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare meat

Sear the pork neck on all sides in a roasting pan. Remove the meat from the pan and rub with the brown sugar and grill seasoning.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Add apple juice and BBQ sauce to the mixing bowl and bring to a boil for 3 minutes/100°C/speed 2.

Braise meat

Pour the sauce from the mixing bowl into the roasting pan. Place the seasoned meat in the sauce and put the lid on the pan. Now cook the meat in the sauce at approx. 120 °C circulating air for 4 hours. Do not open the oven or remove the lid from the roaster during the cooking time!

Shred meat

After approx. 4 hours, the meat should be so soft that it can be easily pulled apart with two forks or with wooden cutlery (to protect the pan coating). Mix the meat with the sauce.
