Description

This crunchy raw vegetable salad with creamy remoulade is a real classic and super quick to prepare. I especially like to make it in the summer because it is so refreshing. The combination of carrots, kohlrabi, white cabbage, cucumber and beetroot is simply unbeatable. The remoulade provides the perfect seasoning and the Chips Sticks give the salad an extra crunch just before serving. A great dish for parties, barbecues or simply as a healthy side dish. If you like, you can add some fresh dill or parsley.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Carrot(s)
  • 1 piece Kohlrabi
  • 0.5 Kopf White cabbage
  • 0.5 piece Cucumber(s)
  • 6 piece Pickled cucumber(s)
  • 500 g Beetroot cooked
  • 1 Pck. ChipsSticks
  • 1 Tube/n Remoulade

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop carrots

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Cut the carrots into coarse pieces, put them in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./level 5. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Chop kohlrabi

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Peel the kohlrabi, cut into coarse pieces, put in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./level 5. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Chop white cabbage

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 4

Quarter the white cabbage, remove the stalk, place in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./level 4. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Chop cucumber and pickled gherkins

Thermomix® Setting
4 sec/Speed 4

Cut the cucumber and pickled gherkins into coarse pieces, put them in the mixing bowl and chop for 4 sec./level 4. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Chop beetroot

Thermomix® Setting
4 sec/Speed 4

Cut the pre-cooked beetroot into coarse pieces, put them in the mixing bowl and chop for 4 sec./level 4. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Mix salad

Put the chopped vegetables from the mixing bowl into a large bowl. Add the remoulade and mix everything well. Season with salt and pepper.

Add Chips Sticks

Just before serving, lift the Chips Sticks under the salad so that they remain crispy.
