Description

These crispy baked chicken thighs are a family favorite! I've been making them for years, and they always disappear quickly. The combination of the savory mustard-butter coating and the crunchy panko topping is simply irresistible. It's a hearty and satisfying main course that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a casual get-together. The best part? It's so easy to prepare, especially with the help of the Thermomix®! You can easily adjust the seasoning to your liking. Serve with your favorite sides for a complete meal.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 piece nonstick cooking spray
  • 8 piece chicken thighs (4 ounce each)
  • 1 to taste salt
  • 1 to taste ground black pepper
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp coarse-grain mustard
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.25 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 0.33333333333333 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 0.75 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the baking sheet

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a large baking pan with foil, then lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray. This step does not require the Thermomix.

Prepare the chicken thighs

Wash chicken thighs and trim excess fat and skin. Remove skin, if desired. Pat dry and sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper. This step does not require the Thermomix.

Combine butter, mustard, maple syrup, and garlic powder

Place 5 tablespoons of unsalted butter into the mixing bowl and melt for 2 Min./50°C/Stufe 2.

Add mustard, maple syrup, and garlic powder

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 3 tablespoons of coarse-grain mustard, 2 teaspoons of maple syrup, and ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder to the melted butter in the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3.

Combine panko, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper

Add 1 ¼ cups of panko bread crumbs, ⅓ cup of shredded Parmesan cheese, 2 teaspoons of dried parsley flakes, ¾ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper to a shallow bowl. Mix well. This step does not require the Thermomix.

Coat the chicken thighs

Brush or rub the chicken thighs with the butter-mustard mixture, then press into the panko mixture until thoroughly coated on all sides. Place on the prepared baking sheet. This step does not require the Thermomix.

Bake the chicken thighs

Bake in the preheated oven until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork, 40 to 50 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). This step does not require the Thermomix.
