Description

These vegan orange biscuits from the Thermomix® are quickly prepared with organic orange, icing sugar and wheat flour type 405. The preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 40 minutes and yields about 20 cookies. Ideal as festive finger food or a sweet snack for the whole family. The recipe is simple and vegetarian. Perfect for the winter season.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 1 Stück Organic orange
  • 100 g Icing sugar
  • 120 ml Sunflower oil
  • 200 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 50 g Cornstarch

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare orange

Wash the organic orange with hot water and dry thoroughly.

Grate orange zest

Grate the zest from the dried orange and set aside.

Sieve icing sugar and mix

Sieve 50 g icing sugar into the mixing bowl. Add 120 ml sunflower oil and the grated orange zest and mix for 20 sec/speed 3.

Mix flour and starch and stir in

Sieve 200 g wheat flour type 405 and 50 g cornstarch into the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 sec/speed 4. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Knead dough

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Kneading speed

Knead the dough for 1 min/kneading stage. If the dough is too dry, add a little more oil, a tablespoon at a time, and knead again.

Shape dough

Preheat the oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat. Form small balls from the dough, flatten them slightly and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake biscuits

Bake the biscuits for about 10 minutes. They should not turn brown.

Dust biscuits

Let the biscuits cool slightly and dust with the remaining icing sugar (50 g) while still warm.
