Description

This orange brandy panna cotta with espresso is an elegant dessert that can be prepared wonderfully in advance. The combination of creamy panna cotta, fruity orange and a hint of brandy is simply irresistible. The espresso provides a fine bitter note that harmonizes perfectly with the sweetness. I like to make this panna cotta for special occasions because it not only tastes delicious, but also looks good. A real treat that is guaranteed to impress!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Organic Orange
  • 4 Blatt Gelatin
  • 500 g Whipping cream
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp Brandy
  • 100 ml Espresso

Preparation (7 steps)

Grate orange zest

Wash the orange and grate the zest with a fine grater. Set the grated zest aside.

Fillet orange

Fillet the orange and set the fillets aside.

Bring cream to boil

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Place the orange zest, 500 g whipping cream, 50 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar in the mixing bowl and bring to the boil for 15 min./90°C/level 2 without a measuring cup.

Strain cream

Pour the orange cream through a fine sieve into a bowl and let it cool briefly.

Dissolve gelatin

Soak 4 sheets of gelatin in cold water, squeeze out and dissolve in the still warm cream. Stir in 2 tbsp brandy.

Fill and chill panna cotta

Divide the mixture among four glasses and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Prepare and serve espresso

Before serving, pour 100 ml of hot espresso over the panna cotta and garnish with the orange fillets.
