Description

This Easter bread recipe for the Thermomix® is a festive yeast pastry with milk, butter, sugar and fresh yeast. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes a total of 105 minutes, with an active working time of about 50 minutes. The recipe yields 12 servings and is ideal for Easter breakfast or as finger food. Perfect for anyone who wants to bake a traditional bread for Easter.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 100 g Milk
  • 100 g Cream
  • 60 g Butter, in pieces
  • 90 g Sugar
  • 20 g Fresh yeast
  • 500 g Wheat flour type 405
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 200 g Raisins
  • Icing for decoration
  • Flaked almonds

Preparation (7 steps)

Heat milk mixture

Add milk, cream, butter, sugar and fresh yeast to the mixing bowl and heat for 2 min./37°C/speed 2.

Prepare dough

Add flour, eggs and salt and process into a dough for 3 min./kneading stage. Add the raisins through the lid opening during the last 30 seconds.

Let the dough rest

Transfer the dough and let it rest for 45 minutes.

Shape the dough and let it rest

Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Shape the dough into a loaf, place it on the baking sheet and let it rest again for 1 hour.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C circulating air.

Cut the dough and bake

Cut diamonds into the surface of the dough with a sharp knife and bake for 10 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 170°C circulating air and bake for another 15-20 minutes until done.

Cool and garnish

Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve Easter bread garnished with icing and flaked almonds as desired.
