Description

These oven cutlets are a great alternative to the classic preparation in a pan. Baking in the oven makes them particularly tender and juicy. The paprika oil gives the cutlets a spicy note that goes perfectly with the breadcrumbs. I like to make this recipe for larger groups because it is easy to prepare. The cutlets taste good warm and cold and are ideal for a buffet or a picnic. Potato salad, French fries or a fresh salad go well as a side dish.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 12 piece Pork cutlet or Veal cutlet
  • 2 piece Egg(s)
  • 150 g Breadcrumbs
  • 125 ml Oil, neutral
  • 2 tbsp Paprika powder, sweet
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare Paprika Oil

Put 125 ml neutral oil and 2 tbsp sweet paprika powder into the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 3. Add chili flakes if necessary.

Prepare Cutlet

Rinse 12 pork cutlets or veal cutlets under running water and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper.

Breading

Whisk 2 eggs in a deep plate. Put 150 g breadcrumbs in a second deep plate. First turn the cutlets in the eggs and then in the breadcrumbs. Press the breading well.

Prepare Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Either brush the baking sheet or the baking paper with some oil/paprika mixture. Place the breaded cutlets on top and also brush with the oil mixture on both sides. It is best to use a brush.

Baking

Bake the cutlets in a preheated oven at 220 °C top/bottom heat or 200 °C convection (not preheated) for about 25 minutes. Turn the cutlets once after half the time.
