Description

With the Thermomix®, you can easily make simple spelt bread from water, honey, yeast, spelt flour, and salt in no time at all. This recipe from the Bread and Rolls category is vegetarian and ideal for breakfast or as a side dish to the main course. The preparation time is 150 minutes, of which 20 minutes are active working time. Spelt bread is a healthy and hearty alternative for the whole family.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 300 g Water
  • 1 EL Honey
  • 0.5 Stück Yeast
  • 500 g Spelt flour type 630
  • 10 g Salt

Activate yeast

Put 300 g water, 1 tbsp honey and 1/2 cube of yeast into the mixing bowl and heat the mixture.

Prepare dough

Add 500 g spelt flour 630 and 10 g salt and process everything into a dough.

Let the dough rise

Place the dough in a bowl, dust it with flour and let it rise covered in a warm place for 1 hour.

Prepare Ofenmeister

During this time you can flour a Ofenmeister.

Shape and bake bread

Place the dough on a floured work surface, fold it together several times and shape it into a loaf of bread. Place the loaf of bread in the prepared Ofenmeister (Römertopf), dust it with flour and cut it. Put the lid on the Ofenmeister and slide it on the lowest shelf in the cold oven. Bake the bread for 50-60 minutes at 240° top/bottom heat.

Brown the bread

Carefully remove the Ofenmeister lid and let the bread brown for 5 minutes without the lid at 240°C.
