Description

These spelt bread rolls, made with spelt flour, wholemeal spelt flour, water, yeast, and honey, are a breeze to make with the Thermomix®. This recipe from the Bread and Rolls category is ideal for a hearty breakfast or as finger food. The preparation time is 175 minutes, of which 30 minutes are active working time. Makes 8 servings.   • 140 ml Water
  • 140 ml Milk
  • 1 Prise Sugar
  • 5 g Yeast
  • 300 g Spelt flour (630)
  • 200 g Wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 TL Honey
  • 12 g Salt
  • 20 g Butter (soft)

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare yeast

Put 140 ml water (lukewarm), 140 ml milk (lukewarm), 1 pinch of sugar and 5 g yeast into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 3.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add 300 g spelt flour (630), 200 g wholemeal spelt flour, 1 tsp honey, 12 g salt and 20 g butter (soft) and knead into a dough for 3 min/kneading stage.

Let dough rest

Let the dough rest covered in a warm place for 2 hours.

Shape bread rolls

Divide the dough into 8 parts. Knead and shape each bread roll.

Refine bread rolls

Dip bread rolls in water and then roll in desired grains/cheese or just flour them and cut a pattern.

Bake bread rolls

Place the bread rolls in the floured baking pan, put the lid on. Place the baking pan in the oven (without preheating) at top/bottom heat 230 degrees for 25 minutes. Then remove the lid and bake the bread rolls for another 20 minutes at the same temperature.
