Description

This recipe for pasta with ricotta sauce is a simple and quick dish that's ready in about 35 minutes. The creamy sauce made from ricotta, strained tomatoes, and fresh basil makes it a delicious main course for 4 people. Ideal for a quick lunch or an uncomplicated dinner.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1 Stück Onion, small
  • 1 Zehe Garlic
  • 2 EL Extra virgin olive oil
  • 400 g Strained tomatoes
  • 250 g Ricotta
  • 1 Bund Basil
  • 400 g Pasta
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • Parmesan, grated

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Add 1 small, peeled onion to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 1 clove of garlic and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Add 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add strained tomatoes

Add 400 g strained tomatoes to the mixing bowl and cook for 5 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add ricotta

Add 250 g ricotta, salt and pepper to taste to the mixing bowl and stir for 3 min./60°C/speed 2.

Add basil

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 bunch of basil (chopped) to the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Cook and serve pasta

While the sauce is being prepared, cook 400 g pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta and serve with the ricotta sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese as desired.
