Description

These creamy pasta with bacon are a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for a quick lunch or a family dinner. I have been making this recipe for years and it is always a success! The crispy bacon goes perfectly with the smooth tomato sauce, and the penne pasta perfectly absorbs all the flavors. The preparation is simple and quick, ideal for weeknights when you are short on time. Feel free to add a pinch of chilli to enhance the taste or some seasonal vegetables for a more complete dish. A real delight!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g pasta (penne recommended)
  • 200 g bacon in strips
  • 1 verre water
  • 3 c. à s. olive oil
  • 1 can tomato concentrate
  • 1 piece onion
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste fine salt

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop the onion

Put 1 onion in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 sec./Stufe 5.

Sauté the onion

Add 3 tbsp of olive oil to the bowl and sauté the onion for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the tomato sauce and water

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 1 large can of tomato concentrate and 1 glass of water to the bowl. Mix for 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Season the sauce

Thermomix® Setting

Salt and pepper lightly. Mix for 5 Sek./Stufe 2.

Cook the bacon sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 200 g of bacon cut into strips to the bowl. Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Cook the pasta

Meanwhile, cook 500 g of pasta (penne recommended) in a saucepan of boiling salted water according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta.

Mix the pasta and sauce

2 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Pour the drained pasta into the bowl with the sauce. Mix gently for 2 Min./100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.
