Description

This cinnamon roll cake from the Thermomix® combines the simplicity of a sponge cake with the taste of cinnamon rolls. The main ingredients are butter, eggs, flour, milk and cinnamon. Preparation with the Thermomix® takes about 40 minutes and yields 12 servings. Ideal as a sweet breakfast or dessert for the whole family. Suitable for anyone who loves uncomplicated cake recipes.

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 75 g Butter (soft)
  • 2 Stück Eggs (size M)
  • 350 ml Milk
  • 400 g Flour
  • 1 P. Baking powder
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 P. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 120 g Butter
  • 100 g Brown sugar
  • 1 EL Flour
  • 1 EL Cinnamon powder (heaped)
  • 160 g Crème fraîche
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 Schuss Milk

Preparation (10 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare pan

Preheat your oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. Prepare a rectangular baking pan/casserole dish (dimensions approx. 35 x 25 cm) or place a baking frame on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Prepare batter

Put 75 g soft butter, 2 eggs, 150 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl.

Add dry ingredients

Add 400 g flour, 1 packet of baking powder, 1 pinch of salt and 350 ml milk. Insert the Patix dough knife.

Place dough in pan

Smooth the dough in your prepared pan.

Prepare sugar-cinnamon filling

Put 120 g butter in pieces, 100 g brown sugar, 1 tbsp flour and 1 tbsp cinnamon powder (heaped) into the mixing bowl.

Spread and marble the filling

Spread the sugar-cinnamon mixture on your cake. For the marbling, now take a fork (or a wooden stick) and pull it spirally through the entire dough.

Bake the cake

Now bake the cake for 25-30 minutes in the lower third of your oven.

Prepare glaze

Put 160 g crème fraîche and 50 g powdered sugar into the mixing bowl.

Refine glaze

Add 1 splash of milk so that the mixture is a little more liquid and easier to spread. But not too much, because the glaze will liquefy anyway from the warm cake.

Apply glaze

Spread the glaze directly after baking on the cinnamon roll cake with an angled spatula or a cake server.
