Description

These Galician style potatoes, also known as 'feira style potatoes', are a simple but delicious dish, perfect for a tapa or a starter. The key is in the quality of the potatoes and the paprika. I always use Galician potatoes, which have an ideal texture for this recipe. Cooking them in the Thermomix® leaves them just right, not too soft or too hard. The final touch of Maldon salt, extra virgin olive oil and sweet or spicy paprika (according to taste!) makes them an irresistible snack. Go ahead and prepare them, you will love them!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 4 piece large potatoes
  • 1.5 litros water
  • 1 puñado salt
  • 1 hoja bay leaf
  • 1 pinch Maldon salt
  • 1 chorrito EVOO
  • 1 pinch sweet or spicy paprika

Cooking the potatoes

Thermomix® Setting

Wash the large potatoes well. Pour 1.5 liters of water into the Thermomix® bowl. Add a pinch of salt and a bay leaf. Introduce the washed potatoes into the bowl.

Check the cooking

Once the cooking time is finished, check with a fork that the potatoes are tender. If they are not, program a few more minutes.

Peel and chop the potatoes

Remove the potatoes from the bowl and let them cool a little. Peel the potatoes and chop them into slices or irregular pieces.

Season the potatoes

Place the chopped potatoes on a plate. Season with Maldon salt, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sweet or spicy paprika to taste.
