Description

Simple and flavorful steamed potatoes, perfect as a side dish.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 1000 g Potatoes (firm cooking)
  • 1 TL Caraway (whole)
  • 3 Stk. Bay leaves
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 500 ml Water

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare potatoes

Wash 1 kg firm cooking potatoes and place in the steamer basket.

Fill and season water

Add 500 ml water to the mixing bowl. Add 1 tsp caraway (whole), 3 bay leaves and 1 tsp salt.

Steam potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
25 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Insert the steamer basket with the potatoes into the mixing bowl and steam for 25 min./Varoma/speed 1.

Doneness test and serving

After the steaming time, carefully remove the steamer basket. Use a small, pointed knife to test for doneness. The potatoes are done when they can be easily pierced. Serve the potatoes.
