Description

This recipe for crispy fried potatoes is a hearty main course that is easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. The potatoes are fried with bacon and onions and seasoned with marjoram. The preparation time is about 35 minutes and is enough for 4 servings. Ideal for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Firm cooking potatoes, from the previous day
  • 200 g Streaky bacon, diced
  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 2 EL Oil
  • 20 g Butter
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 1 TL Marjoram, dried

Preparation (7 steps)

Fry bacon

Fry the diced bacon in a separate pan without oil until crispy and set aside.

Chop onions

Peel and quarter the onions and put them in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./level 5.

Sauté onions

Add oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add potatoes

Add the cooked, peeled and sliced potatoes to the mixing bowl. Season with salt, pepper and marjoram.

Fry potatoes

15 min/248°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 248°F Reverse

Fry potatoes for 15 min./120°C/reverse rotation level 1 without a measuring cup. Use a spatula to turn the potatoes in between.

Add bacon and butter

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/248°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 248°F Reverse

Add the fried diced bacon and butter to the potatoes in the mixing bowl and fry for another 5 min./120°C/reverse rotation level 1. Use a spatula to turn the potatoes in between.

Serve the finished fried potatoes.
