Description

This poached chicken breast recipe is a simple and healthy way to prepare chicken. I've been making this for years, and it's a great base for salads, soups, or sandwiches. The chicken comes out incredibly tender and juicy, thanks to the gentle poaching in flavorful broth. It's perfect for meal prepping, as you can easily shred or slice the chicken and store it in the fridge for later use. This recipe is naturally low-carb, gluten-free, and lactose-free, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions. It's also a fantastic source of protein!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 piece carrot
  • 1 piece celery stick
  • 3 clove large garlic cloves
  • 0.5 bunch parsley
  • 0.5 bunch dill
  • 4 piece skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 l cold water
  • 2 tsp salt

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare Vegetables

Thermomix® Setting

Place 1 carrot, 1 celery stick, and 3 large garlic cloves into the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 seconds/speed 5.

Add Herbs and Chicken

Add ½ small bunch parsley, ½ small bunch dill, 4 skinless chicken breasts, 1l cold water, and 2 tsp salt to the mixing bowl.

Poach Chicken

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Cook for 15 minutes/100°C/speed 1. Ensure the chicken is fully submerged in the liquid. If not, add a little more water.

Rest Chicken

Remove the chicken breasts from the poaching liquid. Wrap the chicken in tin foil and leave to rest for 5 minutes before slicing or tearing into pieces.
