Description

This hearty Pelmeni recipe for the Thermomix® delivers Russian dumplings with a minced meat filling. The main ingredients are flour, minced meat, onions, egg and water. Preparation takes about 60 minutes and yields 3 servings. Ideal as a filling main course for cold days and lovers of hearty cuisine.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 280 ml Water
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 500 g Flour
  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 500 g Minced meat
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 75 g Water

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add all dough ingredients to the mixing bowl: 280 ml water, 1 tsp salt, 1 egg and 500 g flour. Process into a dough for 2 min./kneading stage.

Cover dough

Place the finished dough in a floured bowl and cover.

Chop onions

Put 2 onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 4 sec./speed 6. Scrape everything down from the edge of the mixing bowl and chop again for 4 sec./speed 6.

Prepare filling

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Kneading speed

Add 500 g minced meat, 1 tsp salt, pepper and 75 g water and mix for 1 min./kneading stage.

Prepare dough

Shape the dough into a ball on a floured work surface and divide into four parts.

Shape pelmeni

Roll out the first ball to fit the Pelmeniza. Lightly flour the Pelmeniza and place the dough on it with the floured side. Use a teaspoon to place the meat filling in the hollow, roll out another ball and place it on the Pelmeniza with the side without flour. Roll over the Pelmeniza with a rolling pin. Remove the dough at the edge and set aside. Then turn it over, tap lightly on the work surface and let the pelmeni fall out. Complete pelmeni

Continue in the same way until the filling and the dough are used up.

Prepare pelmeni

Place the finished pelmeni on a kitchen towel until ready to cook and cover with another kitchen towel.

Cook pelmeni

Bring water to a boil, add salt, pepper and a bay leaf. Cook pelmeni until they float to the surface, let steep for about 2-3 minutes.

Serve pelmeni

Place the finished pelmeni in a bowl and mix in butter.
