Description

These Neapolitan chicken breasts are a delicious and easy-to-prepare main course with the Thermomix®. The juicy chicken breast is covered with a homemade tomato sauce, full of flavour thanks to the ripe tomato, onion, leek and garlic. The finishing touch is given by the melted mozzarella cheese and oregano, which give it an irresistible aroma. Ideal for a quick weeknight meal or to surprise your guests with a simple but flavorful dish. Accompany them with white rice or a fresh salad for a complete and balanced meal! Perfect for lovers of Italian cuisine.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 350 gramos chicken breast
  • 4 piece ripe tomato
  • 0.5 piece white onion
  • 50 gramos leek
  • 2 dientes garlic
  • 1 piece mozzarella cheese
  • 20 gramos dried oregano
  • 2 hojas basil
  • 20 mililitros sunflower oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

Preparation of the vegetables

Peel the tomatoes and cut into small cubes. Peel the onion and the leek. Peel the garlic cloves.

Crush onion, leek and garlic

Insert the half white onion, the 50 grams of leek and the 2 cloves of garlic in the Thermomix bowl. Crush for 3 seconds at speed 5.

Sauté onion, leek and garlic

Add the 20 milliliters of sunflower oil to the bowl. Sauté for 2 minutes at 120°C at speed 1.

Add the tomato

Add the 4 ripe tomatoes cut into small cubes to the Thermomix bowl.

Cook the tomato sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Add the 2 basil leaves, salt and pepper to taste. Program 10 minutes at 100°C at speed 2. If the sauce is a bit acidic, add a pinch of sugar.

Cook the chicken breasts

Separately, in a hot frying pan with oil, cook the previously salted and peppered chicken breasts, 2 minutes per side over high heat.

Cover the breasts with the sauce

When the breasts are ready, cover them with the tomato sauce prepared in the Thermomix. Arrange the mozzarella cheese cut into slices on top and sprinkle with dried oregano.

Gratin the breasts

Cover the pan and cook over low heat until the mozzarella cheese melts completely.

Serve

Serve the Neapolitan chicken breasts hot. Accompany with white rice, hasselback potatoes or a Caesar salad.
