Description

I love experimenting with the Thermomix®, and these vegan chocolate shards are a great result! The base of dates and cocoa is super simple and can be wonderfully refined with nuts, dried fruits or spices. The preparation is child's play and the chocolate is a great snack for in between meals or a small gift. It tastes especially good when sprinkled with a little sea salt. The chocolate is vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free, so suitable for many. The cooling time is a few hours, but the active working time is minimal. Try it out, it's worth it!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 50 g Dates
  • 60 g Coconut oil
  • 35 g Baking cocoa
  • Agave syrup
  • Vanilla sugar
  • Nuts
  • Gummy bears
  • Spices

Preparation (4 steps)

Soak dates

Soak 50 g dates in water overnight. This makes them softer and easier to puree.

Puree dates

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 5-6

Put the soaked dates with a little soaking water into the mixing bowl and puree for 20 sec/speed 5-6 to a sticky, fine mass. If necessary, extend the time until a homogeneous mass has formed.

Prepare chocolate mass

Thermomix® Setting
2,5 min/99°F/Speed 1, 5 sec/Speed 5 37

Push the date mass down with the spatula. Add 60 g coconut oil, 35 g baking cocoa, agave syrup and vanilla sugar as needed to the mixing bowl and combine for 2.5 min/37°C/speed 1. Then process everything for 5 sec/speed 5 into a liquid mass.

Shape and chill chocolate

Pour the chocolate mass into molds or onto baking paper and sprinkle with nuts, gummy bears or spices as desired. Place the chocolate in the refrigerator for approx. 2-3 hours until it has hardened.
