Description

This chicken fajita pan is an absolute highlight for any occasion! I especially like to make it when things need to be quick and there still needs to be something delicious on the table. The tender chicken breast fillet, combined with crunchy bell peppers and onions, gets a wonderfully spicy note from the marinade of paprika powder, garlic, cumin, chili and oregano. A dash of lime juice provides the necessary freshness. Served with warm wheat tortillas, this dish is a real treat and perfect for a cozy evening with friends or family. The preparation is very simple and can be done in the Thermomix® in no time at all.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Onion
  • 3 piece Bell peppers - green, yellow, red
  • 500 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • 0.5 tsp Chili
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Lime juice
  • 8 piece small Wheat tortillas

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare onion

Thermomix® Setting

Place 1 onion, halved, in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Push down with the spatula.

Prepare bell peppers

Cut 3 bell peppers (green, yellow, red) into strips and set aside.

Marinate chicken

Cut 500g chicken breast fillet into bite-sized pieces and mix with 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp sweet paprika powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp chili, 1 tsp oregano, salt and pepper in a bowl and marinate.

Fry chicken

Heat a pan and fry the marinated chicken for about 8 minutes per side until cooked through. Then remove from the pan and set aside.

Sauté vegetables

Add the sliced bell pepper strips and the chopped onion to the pan and sauté over medium heat for 4 minutes.

Mix chicken and vegetables

Cut the fried chicken into slices and add to the pan together with the sautéed vegetables. Mix everything well.

Refine with lime juice

Drizzle 3 tbsp lime juice over the chicken and vegetables and mix briefly.

Serve

Serve the chicken fajita pan with warm 8 small wheat tortillas.
