Description

This chicken in aromatic sauce is a dish that warms the heart, perfect for autumn evenings. The tender meat, cooked slowly in a rich tomato sauce and flavored with fresh herbs, is a real comfort food. I often prepare it for my family, and every time it is a success! The beer adds a special touch, making the sauce even tastier. Serve it with a side of baked potatoes or polenta for a complete and satisfying meal. Also ideal for a Sunday family lunch.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 kg chicken pieces
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes
  • 150 ml beer
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch aromatic herbs _sage and rosemary_
  • olive oil
  • fine salt
  • pepper
  • dried oregano

Aromas in the bowl

One peeled clove of garlic and the aromatic herbs (sage and rosemary) in the bowl. Chop for 3 Sec./Level 7.

Aromatic sauté

Add olive oil to the bowl and sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Level 1.

Brown the chicken

In a large pan, brown the skinless chicken pieces in olive oil until golden brown on all sides. This step is essential to seal in the juices and give flavor to the meat.

Deglaze with the beer

Transfer the sauté from the bowl to the pan with the browned chicken. Deglaze with the beer and let the alcoholic part evaporate over medium heat.

Adding the chopped tomatoes

Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan, making sure to cover the chicken well. Mix gently.

Slow cooking

Cover the pan with a lid and cook over medium-low heat for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened. Salt and pepper to taste.

Serve

Serve the chicken in hot sauce, with a sprinkling of dried oregano.
