Description

This country-style stewed chicken with spaghetti is a rustic and flavorful dish, perfect for autumn evenings. The chicken meat, marinated in lemon and spices, softens in a rich tomato and sausage sauce, enriched with cumin and parsley. I often prepare it when I crave comfort food that warms the heart. Preparation is simple and the result is a single dish that the whole family will like. It can be prepared in advance and reheated, becoming even more tasty! Ideal for a Sunday lunch or an informal dinner with friends.

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • Chicken
  • 1 piece Lemon
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Chili pepper
  • to taste Dried oregano
  • 50 g Lard
  • 200 g Pork sausage
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 bunch Parsley
  • 400 g Peeled tomatoes
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 500 ml Meat broth
  • 320 g Spaghetti

Preparation (10 steps)

Preparation of the meat broth

Prepare some meat broth. Alternatively, use ready-made meat broth.

Marinating the chicken

Cut the chicken into pieces and put it in a bowl. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the chicken. Add chili powder, dried oregano and a pinch of salt. Mix well and leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Preparation of the sautéed mixture

Put 50g of lard in the bowl and melt for 3 Min./60°C/Stufe 1.

Chop the onion

Add 1 onion cut into quarters in the bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5. Scrape down the sides.

Sauté the onion

Add the chopped onion in the bowl and sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Brown the sausage

Add 200g of crumbled sausage in the bowl and brown for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Cook the tomato sauce

Add 400g of peeled tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder and 1 bunch of chopped parsley in the bowl. Cook for 30 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the broth and chicken

Add 500ml of meat broth and the marinated chicken in the bowl. Adjust salt and pepper. Cook for 30 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Cook the spaghetti

Break 320g of spaghetti into pieces and add them in the bowl. Add hot water if necessary to cover the pasta. Cook for the time indicated on the spaghetti package/100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

When the pasta is cooked, plate and serve hot.
