Description

I love preparing these yakitori chicken skewers at home! It's a recipe that I often make for dinner parties or barbecues with friends. The chicken is so tender and flavorful with this soy sauce and spice marinade. The small sweet touch of the sweetener brings a perfect balance. It's really easy to make and it always pleases! You can even prepare the skewers in advance and cook them at the last minute. A real treat, especially with a small cabbage salad as a side dish. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 300 g Chicken breast
  • 1 piece Leek white
  • 1 piece Red pepper
  • 7 spice blend
  • Soy sauce
  • Sweetener

Preparation (9 steps)

1

Chicken in pieces

Cut 300 g of chicken breast into pieces of about 2.5 cm. Set aside.

2

Leek in pieces

Clean 1 leek white and cut it into small pieces of about 2.5 cm. Set aside.

3

Pepper diced

Wash 1 red pepper, remove the seeds and remove the white membrane. Then cut it into small dice. Set aside.

4

Preparation of the skewers

Skewer the chicken pieces, alternating the meat, leek pieces and pepper dice. Make sure the pieces are securely attached to the skewers.

5

Marinating the skewers

Generously cover the skewers with soy sauce. Marinate for at least 20 minutes so that the flavors permeate the chicken and vegetables well.

6

Cooking the skewers

Cook the skewers on a barbecue or griddle for about 3 minutes on each side, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are lightly grilled.

7

Final seasoning

Sprinkle the skewers with the 7 spice blend at the end of cooking to enhance the flavors.

8

Sauce preparation

In a small bowl, mix a little soy sauce with 1 teaspoon of sweetener. Mix well until the sweetener is completely dissolved.

9

Service

Serve the hot skewers with the soy sauce-sweetener mixture. You can also serve them with white rice or a salad.
